In the sixties and seventies rubber fork gaiters have been standard equipment to many motorcycles - from BSA to Honda and Zündapp. These protected the fork from dust and dirt and helped to give the bike a classic look. Today gaiters are a indispensable design feature for old school and vintage custombikes and even for dynamic cafe racers. Dock66 now offers fork gaiters for Harley-Davidson® Sportsters with short 39mm-fork. They also fit some other motorcycles with 39mm stanchion tubes and short range of spring. These black fork gaiters can be fixed by plastic zip ties or stainless hose clamps (not included) if desired. They come in pairs.
They are not for standard Sportster but for Low, Hugger, Forty-Eight, Nightster und Custom Sportsters with short 39mm fork. These measure about 130 mm long, with a 37 mm opening at the top and a 60 mm opening at the bottom. Looks good, quality is not good I put these on this winter, rode about 2000 km since and had to take them of this weekend because they ripped in 2 pieces on both fork legs.

Nicht so toll Diese Faltenbälge taugen leider nichts. In jeder inneren Falte entweder ein Loch, oder schon zum Teil fast ganz durchgerissen. Vermutlich ist die Gummimischung nicht so prall für Faltenbälge. Ergo, ab in den Müll. Schade eigentlich, denn Dock66 hat eigentlich immer ein gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.
